ART FOR TRANSFORMATION
People Planet Profit
Transformation is a central line in my life. With my ideas and ideals I
try and my change itself surroundings. Based upon my ideals, I started at
the Agricultural University of Wageningen in the Netherlands, 25
years ago.
Since that time I have occupied myself with the gap between North and
south. How can we can change the world?
STEP 1:begin with yourself. TRAVEL INSIDE OUT. Travel in the
substance and in the spirit. My travel have started in Ecuador, Nigeria
and Sudan. As a development worker make a contribution to positive changes
on site. The largest change takes place eventually in yourself.
Together with Wendy Molendijk, my partner since 1990, we lived and
worked in Nicaragua and Cambodge. We have two beautiful children Tim and
Yana. Thus I transformed of individue to a family. By means of the child
spirit I re-establish contact with this magical world.
In 2000, we settle down in the Netherlands. Wendy currently works as a
veterinarian and I work Oxfam Novib in the area of
International Development Cooperation. My area of work is Corporate Social
Responsibility. How to encourage multinational companies to provide fair
products, produced with respect to workers and the environment: PEOPLE
PLANET PROFIT. The transformation of our economy.
People in nature are my largest inspiration source for my art work. My
often relates to landscapes, but you can identify people inside. I find
inspiration from photos in newspapers and illustrated magazines.
